Carbon capture, a climate summit and more solutions to stem the tide of climate change
Reverse Course — the ambitious Here & Now series focused on solutions making a difference to stem climate change — returns this week with new stories focused on carbon capture projects. The series is timed to coincide with COP28, the 28th annual United Nations Climate Change Conference taking place in Dubai through Dec. 12.
"These are stories that illustrate how we can mitigate the effects of climate change on land and at sea," says Carline Watson, the show's executive producer. "Even when things seem hopeless, there is always a spark of hope."
The new installment features pieces with senior editor Peter O'Dowd and producer Chris Bentley of the Here & Now Anytime podcast, out in the field, as well as two-way interviews focused on the carbon capture industry. Here & Now's Reverse Course airs Dec. 4 - 8.
In addition to Reverse Course, Here & Now covers the environment each week through a partnership with Grist, a nonprofit media organization focused on climate change solutions.
This installment of Reverse Course is made possible in part with funding from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to ocean research, exploration and education.
