The new budget signed into law by Gov. Maura Healey set aside over $117 million in funding for MassEducate, a program that allows Massachusetts residents to attend any of the state’s 15 community colleges for free.
But are community colleges ready for the potential influx of new students?

What are they doing to make sure they have the best educational experience possible?

Dr. Jonathan Jefferson, the new president of Roxbury Community College in Boston, and Kate O’Hara, vice president of student services and enrollment management at Bristol Community College in Fall River, spoke with guest host Carrie Jung on those questions and more.

This segment aired on August 2, 2024.
