Jake Gardam joined WBUR as a studio and broadcast systems engineer in June of 2024.

Prior to entering the world of broadcast, he attended Berklee College of Music for drum set performance and minored in music production and engineering. With this skillset he started a recording studio called Sawmill Recordings where he worked on all sorts of projects from classical, to heavy metal, to jazz and beyond from both sides of the glass. He's been featured on the BBC Radio 1 and the BBC World Service, as well as in NME Magazine.

Jake continues performing, recording and mixing for acts of all calibers and helps keep WBUR on air and as efficient as possible. He is a devoted husband and father with a love of bushcraft, history, cooking, travel and classic fashion.
