As Senior Leadership Gifts Officer at WBUR, John works to deepen the engagement, support, and leadership of current and prospective major donors who sustain WBUR’s award-winning programming. He loves building deep relationships, connecting with people at a heart-level and supporting them on their journey to mobilize their resources to make the biggest impact possible.

Prior to WBUR, John worked for more than a decade as a grassroots organizer, campaign director, and resource mobilizer for Corporate Accountability - a global human rights and environmental organization based in Boston. While there, he worked closely with journalists around the world to shine a spotlight on corporate-driven corruption and abuses of power, witnessing first-hand the incredible might of public media. He is so excited to be part of the team securing the sustainability of public media at this critical moment for our democracy.

When he’s not thinking about development strategy, John is usually strategizing with his wife about how to wrangle their two young children in Roslindale, listening to podcasts, appreciating good storytelling, or connecting with family in his native Texas.
