As a senior leadership gifts officer, Naomi Sobel works with the development team to deepen WBUR donors' relationships with the organization and solicit them for major donations.

Before WBUR, Naomi worked in major gifts for several national organizations, including Movement Voter Project and Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice. She also has a past life working in the editorial realm at Boston Review and The Nation, and is excited to be back behind the journalistic scene as part of the fundraising team.

Naomi lives in Jamaica Plain with her spouse and toddler. She enjoys running around the Jamaica Pond, conducting elaborate cooking experiments with the contents of her weekly community-supported agriculture box, and immersing herself in various works of speculative fiction.
